GOVERNOR’S WAI`ANAE-NĀNĀKULI “TALK STORY” DATE CHANGED TO WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5th

HONOLULU – Governor Linda Lingle’s Wai`anae – Nānākuli “Talk Story” session has been changed from Tuesday, November 4th to Wednesday, November 5th, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., at the Wai`anae High School cafeteria.

This will be Governor Lingle’s 15th and final “Talk Story” session in the 28-series community gatherings that the Governor and Lt. Governor James R. “Duke” Aiona Jr. have been holding on all six islands over the past three months.  The two other remaining “Talk Story” sessions will be held on Moloka`i on Oct. 21st and Lana`i on Oct. 28th.  Lt. Governor Aiona will join the Governor at all three remaining “Talk Stories.”

Audio and selected video recordings of most “Talk Story” sessions are now posted on the Governor’s newly designed website at www.hawaii.gov/gov

Governor Lingle initiated the “Talk Stories” to provide residents the opportunity to express their concerns and offer recommendations on key statewide and local issues.  During the sessions, the Governor also updates residents on what her administration is doing in specific communities as well as on a statewide level.

Schedule of remaining “Talk Stories” (all meetings are scheduled from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.):
Tuesday, Oct. 21, Moloka`i, Kaunakakai School cafeteria
Tuesday, Oct. 28, Lana`i, Hale Kūpuna meeting room
Wednesday, Nov. 5, Wai`anae High School cafeteria
