GOVERNOR’S EAST HAWAI`I ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET ON FEBRUARY 26TH

HILO, HAWAI`I – The Governor’s East Hawai`i Advisory Committee will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2004, 5:30 p.m. at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo’s newly constructed Ho`oulu Terrace Building, room UCB 127.
The meeting is open to the public and will include public testimony to hear the concerns of the community and residents.
This month’s meeting will feature discussions on Hale Ho`ola Hamakua expansion proposal, pharmacy school in Hilo and updates on the Wailoa Small Boat harbor and UH Hilo’s Science and Technology Building.
Governor Linda Lingle created advisory committees to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The East Hawai`i Advisory Committee holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
