GOVERNOR'S WEST HAWAI`I ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET ON MARCH 10TH

KONA – The Governor’s West Hawai`i Advisory Committee will hold its next monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10th, at the Waikoloa Elementary School, Cafeteria Bldg., 68-1730 Ho`oko St. in Waikoloa.
The agenda will include discussion topics related to prioritizing the infrastructure concerns in West Hawai`i, education reform, and political subdivisions.
Public testimony is invited on any issue of local or state concern. Informational presentations are also welcomed with appropriate notification for inclusion in the agenda.
Governor Linda Lingle created advisory committees to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The West Hawai`i Advisory Committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month to seek community input and advises the Governor on important issues, including budget priorities. The Committee also makes recommendations for state boards and commissions.
Members of the Governor’s Advisory Committee are Beverly Byouk, Ocean View; Jason Ikaika Hauanio, Kona; Dr. Daryl Kurozawa, Kealakekua; Joanne Ralston, Kapaau; John Ray, Waimea; Sharon L.
