ROBERT KRITZMAN OF NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE TO UPDATE GOVERNOR'S KAUA`I ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON HAWAI`I OPERATIONS

LIHU`E – The Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 14, 2005, in rooms 2A & 2B of the Moikeha Bldg., 4444 Rice St., in Lihu`e.
The Committee will welcome Robert Kritzman, executive vice president and managing director of Hawai`i operations for Norwegian Cruise Line and NCL America. Kritzman will give an update on NCL America's plans for its U.S. flag fleet in Hawai`i and will be available for questions from the committee.
“Cruise passengers are a growing segment of our visitor industry. NCL America has and will continue to increase its presence in Hawai`i and plays an important role in Hawai`i’s economy,” said Laurie Yoshida, Governor’s Liaison-Kaua`i. “We are happy that Mr. Kritzman of NCL America is reaching out to the community to update us on the company’s plans for its Hawai`i operations. They are an important player and Kaua`i needs to be prepared for the potential growth of our visitor industry.”
Governor Linda Lingle created advisory committees to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Kaua`i Advisory Committee holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee are James Anakalea, Linda Collins, Laura Cushnie, Kelly Banks Hoen, Vilamor Galiza, Jerry Ornellas, Barbara Smith, Matt Takata, and Leo Trinidad.
