HONOLULU – Governor Linda Lingle has released $24,750 to enhance safety at Castle High School through installing exterior floodlights for portable classroom buildings P-27, P-29, and P-30.

Castle High School along with the Department of Education has reported attempted assaults on teachers and fire bombings at these portable classroom buildings.

“Illuminating the exterior of the buildings will improve the safety in this area and better protect the school, teachers and students,” said Governor Lingle. “This project is urgent and crucial, as it affects the lives and well-being of our students and dedicated teachers.”
