For Immediate Release: May 27, 2005
HONOLULU – Governor Linda Lingle has released $67,000 for the purchase and installation of furniture and equipment for the new eight-classroom building at Waipahu High School.
“The addition of furniture and equipment will complete the final phase of a new eight-classroom building at Waipahu High School,” said Governor Lingle. “Students will be more comfortable in the new classrooms and teachers will have enhanced resources to do their job.”
The construction of this new eight-classroom building project started in October 2004. It includes a self-contained special education classroom, two resource classrooms, three general classrooms, a physics classroom and a biology classroom. In addition, the building will house a faculty room, a student services coordinator/educational assistant room, a custodial service center and other supporting rooms and spaces.
The new building and improvements are expected to be completed in December 2005.
