GOVERNOR’S MAUI COUNCIL OF ADVISORS TO MEET ON DEC. 15

WAILUKU – The Governor’s Maui Council of Advisors will meet at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Cameron Center, Auditorium, located at 95 Mahalani Street, Wailuku. The public is invited to attend.
The Governor’s Council of Advisors will finalize their priority listing to be submitted to the Governor for the year 2006.
Governor Linda Lingle created Council of Advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Maui Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for State Boards and Commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Maui Council of Advisors are: John Henry, Diane Ho, Ezekiela Kalua (vice-chair), Carl Lindquist, Jo-Ann Ridao, Madge Schaefer (chair), Jan Shishido, Kalei Sombelon and Shan Steinmark.
