GOVERNOR’S MAUI COUNCIL OF ADVISORS TO MEET ON FEB. 16

WAILUKU – The Governor’s Maui Council of Advisors will meet on
Thursday, Feb. 16, 5:00 p.m., at the Cameron Center, Auditorium, located at
95 Mahalani Street, Wailuku. The public is invited to attend.
Wesley Lo, Maui Memorial Medical Center Hospital Administrator, will update the Council on the current hospital expansion and other future hospital projects.
Governor Linda Lingle created Councils of Advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Maui Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for State Boards and Commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Maui Council of Advisors recently appointed by the Governor are: John Henry, Diane Ho, Ezekiela Kalua (vice-chair), Carl Lindquist, Madge Schaefer (chair), Jan Shishido, Kalei Sombelon, and Shan Steinmark .
