GOVERNOR’S MOLOKA`I COUNCIL OF ADVISORS TO MEET ON MARCH 14

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Moloka`i Council of Advisors will meet on Tuesday, March 14, 4:00 p.m. at the Kulana O`iwi, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands / Office of Hawaiian Affairs Conference Room, 600 Maunaloa Highway, Kaunakakai. The public is invited to attend.
Donna Haytko-Paoa, Maui Community College – Moloka`i, will provide an update on issues facing the college, including potential expansion opportunities.
Greg Jenkins, Firefighter 3, Special Operations, County of Maui Fire Department, will discuss the Community Emergency Response Team program for the County.
Governor Linda Lingle created Councils of Advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Moloka`i Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, public priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Moloka`i Council of Advisors are Robert Granger, Sue Ann Hasegawa, Janice Kalanihuia, Jersula Manaba, Marlene Purdy and Charlotte Seales.
