GOVERNOR’S LANA`I COMMUNITY ADVISORY COUNCIL TO MEET ON TUESDAY, JULY 22

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Lāna‘i Community Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, June 22, 5:00 p.m. at the Lāna‘i Senior Center in Lāna‘i City. The public is invited to attend.
Scott Fretz, wildlife program manager for the Department of Land and Natural Resources –Division of Forestry and Wildlife, will discuss the current habitat conservation plans for Lāna‘i.
Governor Linda Lingle created community advisory councils to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Lāna‘i Community Advisory Council holds monthly public meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues on Lāna‘i. The advisory council also identifies public priorities, as well as recommends potential nominees from Lāna‘i to serve on state boards and commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Lāna‘i Community Advisory Council are Christine Costales, Darlene Endrina, Michael Lopez, Matthew Mano and Douglas Rolefson.
