GOVERNOR LINGLE ORDERS HAWAI`I STATE FLAG TO FLY AT HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF COUNCILMEMBER DUKE BAINUM

HONOLULU – Governor Linda Lingle has ordered the Hawai‘i state flag at state and county buildings throughout Hawai‘i to fly at half-staff on Friday, June 26, 2009, from sunrise to sunset, in honor of Councilmember and former State Representative Duke Bainum who died on June 9. The Governor’s proclamation also encourages residents to display the state flag at half-staff at their homes and businesses on June 26.  Services for Councilmember Bainum will take place in Honolulu on that day.
