DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAYS DIVISION TO ADDRESS GOVERNOR’S MOLOKA‘I COUNCIL OF ADVISORS

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Moloka‘i Council of Advisors will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 3:00 p.m. at the Kulana O`iwi, DHHL / OHA Conference Room, 600 Maunaloa Highway, in Kaunakakai. The public is invited to attend.
Brennon Morioka, deputy director of the state Department of Transportation, Highways Division, will update the community on current and planned projects for Moloka‘i, and respond to questions and answers.
Governor Linda Lingle created councils of advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government. The Moloka‘i Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, public priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
The members of the Governor’s Moloka‘i Council of Advisors are Robert Granger, Sue Ann Hasegawa, Janice Kalanihuia, Jersula Manaba, Marlene Purdy and Charlotte Seales.
