STATE HEALTH DIRECTOR TO ADDRESS LANA‘I COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Lana‘i Council of Advisors will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 5:00 p.m. at the Lana‘i Police Station conference room, 855 Fraser Street, in Lana‘i City.  The public is invited to attend.

Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Department of Health, will discuss health care services provided by the Lana‘i Community Hospital and the Department of Health.

Governor Linda Lingle created councils of advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government.  The Lana‘i Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, public priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.

The members of the Governor’s Lana‘i Council of Advisors are Cindy Arruiza, John dela Cruz, Matthew Mano, Douglas Rolefson and Nani Watanabe.
