August 31, Governor Lingle will recognize Kaua`i resident Koah Vierkoetter, recipient of the 2009 Robert Murakami Scholarship sponsored by the Hawai`i Veterans Memorial Fund Committee.
August 31, The Governor will welcome international energy experts to Hawai`i for the Asia-Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Expo. The four-day conference (Aug. 31 – Sept. 4), organized by the State of Hawai`i, in cooperation with the Defense Energy Support Center and U.S. Pacific Command, will focus on various renewable energy initiatives and policies throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
September 1, Governor Lingle will deliver remarks at the Asia-Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Expo.
September 1, The Governor will attend the investiture ceremony for Micah Kāne, new trustee for Kamehameha Schools.
September 1, The Governor will meet with women participating in the East-West Center's Changing Faces Women's Leadership Program, which brings together women from the United States and the Asia-Pacific region to foster change in their communities.
September 2, Governor Lingle will discuss state issues on her monthly radio show with host Rick Hamada from 7:05 - 8:00 a.m. HST. September 2, Governor Lingle will attend a celebration in honor of Queen Lili`uokalani's 171st birthday.
September 3, Governor Lingle will participate in the groundbreaking for the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center which will be built in Kapolei across from the UH West O`ahu campus and adjacent to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands' largest homestead development.
September 4, Governor Lingle will deliver the keynote address at the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon.
September 5, The Governor will deliver remarks at the 27th Annual Okinawan Festival, celebrating Okinawan culture through traditional music, dance, cuisine, cultural displays and products.
September 5, Governor Lingle will deliver remarks at the Honpa Hongwanji Mission's double commemoration event recognizing the Shinran Shonin's 750th Memorial and Hawai`i Kyodan’s 120th Anniversary.
