Public Schedule for the Week of June 22-26, 2009

June 22, Governor Lingle will meet privately with members of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties to discuss the latest council on revenues projections and the impact on county budgets.

June 23, Governor Lingle will join the Department of Transportation in the ground breaking for a construction project to widen Wailua Cane Haul Bridge to two lanes in the northbound direction along Kūhiō Highway. The new bridge will be named after the late Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste. 

June 23, Governor Lingle will meet privately with Governor Michael Marcos Keon of Ilocos Norte, Philippines to discuss the continuing efforts in the promotion of cultural, social and economic ties and cooperation between Ilocos Norte and Hawai`i, as contained in a sister-state-province agreement signed in 2005.

June 25, The Governor will recognize outstanding young leaders in the private, public and non-profit sectors for their contributions and potential at the Pacific Business News "Forty Under 40" Awards. 

June 26, The Governor will deliver keynote remarks at the Maui Chamber of Commerce annual meeting.  The Governor will update chamber members on the Administration's efforts to address the projected budget shortfall, while focusing on the long-term transformation of Hawai`i's economy.
