Public Schedule for the Week of June 29 - July 4

July 1, Governor Lingle will discuss state issues on her monthly radio show with host Rick Hamada from 7:05 - 8:00 a.m. HST.  Listeners are invited to call 808-521-8383 from O`ahu or 888-565-8383 from the Neighbor Islands with questions and comments.  The show can be heard live statewide on O`ahu (KHVH 830 AM), Maui (KAOI 1110 AM), Hilo (KPUA 670 AM), and Kaua`i (KQNG 570 AM).

July 1, The Governor will meet with eight Hawai`i students who will serve as junior ambassadors and represent Hawai`i at the annual Asian-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka, Japan.

July 2, Governor Lingle will participate in the groundbreaking for a new middle school in `Ewa Makai.  The new school will help alleviate overcrowding at `Ilima Intermediate School and the seven elementary schools in the Department of Education's Campbell Area Complex.

July 2, Governor Lingle will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the H-1 Freeway, Kapolei Interchange Complex, Phase 1.  The interchange will connect to the H-1 Freeway from Kamokila Boulevard at Wakea Street, giving motorists an alternate route in and out of Kapolei. It will also relieve traffic congestion at the H-1 Makakilo and Palalai Interchanges.

July 4, Governor Lingle and Lt. Governor Aiona will celebrate our nation's independence at the 63rd annual Kailua 4th of July Parade.
