March 30, Governor Lingle and Lt. Governor Aiona will meet with Charmaine Gaoiran and Andrew Drake, students who entered the Leader for a Day essay program and were chosen by judges to be the Governor and Lt. Governor for a day.
March 31, Governor Lingle, Lt. Governor Aiona, State Adjutant General Robert Lee and members of the Hawai`i State Legislature will present the Hawai`i Medal of Honor to the families of 23 service members with Hawai`i ties who have died during the past year in the line of duty.
April 1, Governor Lingle will discuss state issues on her monthly radio show with host Rick Hamada from 7:05 - 8:00 a.m. HST. Listeners are invited to call 808-521-8383 from O`ahu or 888-565-8383 from the Neighbor Islands with questions and comments. The show can be heard live statewide on O`ahu (KHVH 830 AM), Maui (KAOI 1110 AM), Hilo (KPUA 670 AM), and Kaua`i (KQNG 570 AM)
April 1, The Governor will meet with officials from Referentia Systems, Inc., an advanced computing and software engineering services company.
April 2, The Governor will join Hawai`i Business magazine in recognizing the 2009 Best Places to Work in Hawai`i award winners.
April 3, Governor Lingle will participate in the retirement ceremony for Brigadier General Kathleen Berg, who in August 2005 became the first female general in the Hawai`i Air National Guard.
April 4, The Governor will attend the opening day of the Windward Volleyball League's (WVL) Spring volleyball season. WVL is a community youth sports organization serving keiki ages 7 through 14 from the Waimanalo, Kailua and Kaneohe districts.
