Public Schedule for the Week of September 14-18, 2009

September 14, Governor Lingle will meet with Leoncio Cardenas, the new Philippine Consul General to Hawai`i. 

September 16, Governor Lingle will attend the swearing-in ceremony for the Honorable Craig Watanabe, the new chief judge of the Intermediate Court of Appeals.

September 17, Governor Lingle will participate in the dedication of a new playground at a transitional homeless shelter in Ma`ili. The Ulu Ke Kukui, transitional housing project opened in December 2008 as one of five homeless shelters and transitional housing facilities developed by the Lingle-Aiona Administration and its partners to address the homeless emergency along O`ahu's Leeward Coast.

September 17, The Governor will participate in the dedication of 11 acres of land acquired by MA`O Organic Farms, which was made possible by grants from the State Legacy Land Conservation Fund, the Pierre and Pamela Omidyar Foundation of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, and assistance from the Trust for Public Land.
