Washington Place Public Tour Guidelines

  • Washington Place provides public tours Mondays through Fridays.
  • Tour times will vary according to any official Governor, state, or organizational events being held that day on the premises.
  • Interested guests must call 48 hours in advance of the requested tour date for reservations.  The telephone number to request a tour of Washington Place is 586-0248.
  • Special arrangements must be made for school or organization tours.
  • Tours normally take 30-45 minutes and have a maximum capacity of (12) guests per tour group.
  • There is no public parking on the grounds of Washington Place.
  • Washington Place does not require an admission fee.  However, donations to the Washington Place Foundation are welcomed.  The Washington Place Foundation assists with the historic research, preservation, and restoration of the home.
  • Each tour guest is required to bring a valid picture ID that will be presented to the deputy sheriff at the time of entrance onto the Washington Place property.
  • Still photography is restricted to the front exterior of the home and video cameras are not permitted on property.
  • Guests are allowed to bring handbags— anything larger will not be allowed on the Washington Place grounds.
