DHS Director Honored

DCCA Adds Additional
Insurance Coverage

As part of the Lingle-Aiona Administration's continuing efforts to bring additional insurance capacity to Hawai`i residents, the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) announced the addition of three new insurance companies.

Honors Top Employees 

In recognition of their hard work throughout the year, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Department of Health, honored the department's outstanding employees and presented the Team of the Year, Manager of the Year, and Employee of the Year awards.

DHS Director Named a
"Public Official of the Year"

GOVERNING magazine selected Human Services Director Lillian Koller as a "Public Official of the Year" for her leadership in bringing about widespread improvements at the department, including an overhaul of the child welfare system.
