• Brig. Gen. Kenneth M. Taylor was credited with shooting down four Japanese planes on December 7, 1941. Lives now in Anchorage, Alaska, c1980.

• Lts. Taylor and Welch assinged to 15th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, took off from Haleiwa airfield in P-40B aircraft during the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack. Welch was credited with four kills and Taylor had two confirmed and two probable. Photo taken in January 1942.
