- 2nd Lt. Harry Brown, Philip M. Rasmussen, Kenneth M. Taylor and George S. Welch, and 1st Lt. Lewis M. Sanders together downed nine Japanese planes on December 7, 1941. Welch got four & Taylor two and were decorated with the Distinguished Service Cross.

- Brig. Gen. Kenneth M. Taylor was credited with shooting down four Japanese planes on December 7, 1941. Lives now in Anchorage, Alaska, c1980.

- Capt. Wilfred H. Tetley, Commander of Signal Company Aircraft Warning, Hawaii, and Capt. Kenneth P. Bergquest of 14th Pursuit Wing, Wheeler Field, with members of radar site survey team, 1941.
- Lts. Taylor and Welch assinged to 15th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, took off from Haleiwa airfield in P-40B aircraft during the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack. Welch was credited with four kills and Taylor had two confirmed and two probable. Photo taken in January 1942.
