Onomea Farm's owners Richard & Jenny Johnson retired on the Big Island in 2000 and bought the farm - a small and beautiful makule farm on the Hamakua Coast. Little did they know that their farming operation would grow to encompass three farms and 42 acres of luscious tropical fruits.

Naked Cow Diary is a new boutique dairy out on the Leeward Coast of Oahu. It is the only dairy on the island and is ramping up its production of freshly churned butters, cream cheese and other cheeses such as feta, swiss and cheddar. Take a look at what the KITV crew saw on the farm.

It's summertime and the KITV Morning Show is on the road LIVE from Kahumana Farms located deep in Lualualei Valley. The farm feeds the residents and staff of Kahumana's therapeutic residential facility and also the community as they sell their organic produce at the Waianae Farmers' Market every Saturday.

Asagi Hatchery's chicks hatched just in time for Easter! Lisa and Maxie Asagi brought a basketful of the cutest Cornish Rock Cross chicks that were just one day old. The family-run hatchery has seen a resurgence in backyard flocks of egg-laying hens and also heritage breeds for show. To see photos of the segment, click here.

For several years, Kauai, Oahu and Maui residents were not able to purchase Island Fresh milk at supermarkets. That changed in February 2009 when fresh milk from Island Dairy started being shipped to neighbor islands. Island Dairy's Bahman Sadeghi brought his fresh milk branded under the "Hawaii's Fresh" label, to the KITV studios, HDOA's Commodities Manager, Jeri Kahana, wowwed the crew with her onolicious bread pudding made with island fresh milk and island fresh eggs. Nalo Farms is well-known for its "Nalo Greens" that is served at fine restaurants throughout Hawaii. Farmer Dean Okimoto also highlights new types of greens and herbs that he is growing for local chefs like Colin Hazama of RumFire at the Sheraton Waikiki. To view photos, click here.
