Five years ago, the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation established a true Farmers' Market at the Kapiolani Community College parking lot every Saturday. The market has since grown exponentially in vendors and customers.
To celebrate its birthday, Governor Linda Lingle stopped by the market to see the locally grown foods and local value-added products that are available each Saturday. The Petersons prepared their special dish for the studio crew and later that weekend at the KCC Farmers' Market.
