Established in 1992, Ho Farms is a 40-acre produce farm on Oahu’s North Shore. It is one of the few food safety certified farms in Hawaii and makes a conscientious effort to minimize its use of pesticides and chemicals to reduce the farm’s footprint on Oahu’s ecosystem. The result, according to the company, is healthier, natural and better-tasting food.

“Specialty tomatoes are our signature product and are renowned for their sweet flavor and crispy texture,” says Wei Chong Ho, company president. “We currently offer a number of specialty tomatoes, including baby Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, golden grape tomatoes, grape tomatoes, Kahuku golden tomatoes and zebra tomatoes. Our tomatoes are vine ripened and individually hand picked at their peak flavor.”

The farm also grows Japanese cucumbers, long squashes and long beans.

“We believe that delivering a quality product is the key to attracting and maintaining an increasingly discriminative customer base,” Ho continues. “Ho Farms believes that quality means producing the freshest, healthiest, best-tasting product and ensuring that it remains that way when the customer serves it on their table.”

The farm’s products are packaged to maximize their shelf life and to prevent damage.

Ho Farms’ produce is available on Oahu at Foodland, Down to Earth, Malama Market and Tamura’s Market. It also participates in the following farmers’ markets: Mililani High School, Sundays 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Kailua Parking Garage, Thursdays 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Kapiolani Community College, Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
