Importing Sheep and Goats to Hawaii
Federal Scrapie Eradication program: Sheep and goats that are moved interstate or for exhibition need to have official identification.

Sheep must meet the following requirements:
- Originate from a state officially declared free of scabies for the 12-month period preceding date of shipment.
- Be dipped or sprayed with a USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service approved pesticide.
- Include a Statement-Free of external parasites.
Goats must meet the following requirements:
- Originate from a herd not under quarantine for brucellosis, tuberculosis, or other contagious diseases.
- Test negative for tuberculosis and brucellosis within 30 days prior to shipment. (Brucellosis is not required for castrated males)
- Dipped or sprayed with a USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service approved pesticide under veterinary supervision.
- Include a Statement-Free of external parasites.
