Request for (1) a Finding that the Unrestricted Movement of Live or Dead Honey Bees (Apis melliflora) or Used Bee Equipment from Oahu, an area infested by the Varroa Mite, Constitutes an Emergency Justifying an Interim Rule; and (2) a Recommendation for Board of Agriculture Adoption of an Interim Rule to Prohibit the Intrastate Movement of Any Live or Dead Honey Bees (Apis mellifera), or Used Bee Equipment, Except as Allowed by Permit Issued by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture, Plant Quarantine Branch.

Request for (1) a Finding that the Unrestricted Importation of Hosts Known to Spread the Rust Fungus, Puccinia psidii (aka `Ohi`a Rust), (i.e., plants and plant parts in the Family Myrtaceae from Areas Infested by Puccinia psidii, which include South America, Florida, and California), Constitutes an Emergency Justifying an Interim Rule; and (2) a Recommendation for Board of Agriculture Adoption of an Interim Rule to Prohibit the Importation into Hawaii of Plants and Plant Parts in the Family Myrtaceae from Areas Known to be Infested with Puccinia psidii.  

    Action:  Approved
