The HDOA Apiary Program has established the Hawai`i Beekeeper Registry

 

Act 200 was passed by the State Legislature and enacted by Gov. Neil Abercrombie during the 2011 legislative session.  The law establishes a voluntary registry of beekeepers in the state, which will be used to provide information and services to Hawai`i beekeepers.

BEEKEEPING EDUCATION AT UH-HILO

HDOA's Apiculture Specialist Danielle Downey will be offering three courses involving beekeeping through the University of Hawaii-Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Services.
