This page provides resources to access site specific information about properties under HEER Office oversight.
HEER Facility/Site Quick Lookup Spreadsheets
The spreadsheets list Environmental Interests (EIs) that the HEER Office has investigated or may investigate under HRS 128D (including CERCLIS sites).
These EIs may be managed by either the Emergency Preparedness and Response section (EP&R) or the Site Discovery, Assessment and Remediation
section (SDAR).
Hawai‘i State Response Program (HSRP) Public Record Report
The HSRP Public Record Report is provided in accordance with EPA Grant requirements to specify sites closed during the latest Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) as well as sites that the
office intends to oversee during the next FFY. This report is a subset of the HEER Sites of Interest Lookup Spreadsheet and do not include military sites.
The pages are ordered by Island and Locality name and are easily searchable within Adobe Acrobat.
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Information System (CERCLIS) Sites
List of potential hazardous waste sites which are being or have been evaluated using the U.S. EPA's Hazard Ranking System.

Request Individual Records
HEER maintains separate files on individual facility/sites. While we are in the process of transitioning to electronic files, most of these records are in hard copy format, and, upon adequate notice, may be reviewed in person in the HEER Office. Before making requests for individual files, we recommend that you first review the HEER Releases Lookup Spreadsheet and HEER Sites of Interest Lookup Spreadsheet provided above to identify the file(s) that you are interested in.
To request an individual record, identify the file you wish to review, complete a Request to Access a Government Record form and submit the form to the HEER Office at the mailing address or fax number listed below. You will be contacted to arrange a time for inspecting the file. Provide all available location and ownership information in your records request to facilitate site identification. Particularly valuable are street address, TMK, and current or former business operating names. If you have located the property on one of the online resources above, please be sure to include the site name listed in your records request. Copies of records cost 5¢ per page.
Please note that the absence of information in HEER's files regarding releases of hazardous substances at a site does not provide relief from liability under the Hawai‘i Environmental Response Law, the U.S. Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, or any other applicable federal, state, or local laws.
