HONOLULU – The Wastewater Branch of the State Department of
Health (DOH) is now electronically linked to the City and County of
Honolulu building permit office, which allows DOH to "e-sign" permits
and homeowners to keep an eye on their paperwork as it moves through
the system.
Applicants can track their permit applications by logging on at: http://dppweb.co.honolulu.hi.us/Dppweb, and clicking on
"building permits." Permits can be tracked by permit application
number, building permit number, address or tax map key number.
By going on-line, homeowners can determine which agency or office
has completed their review and which agency or office has comments that
need to be addressed. The new procedures enable both the City and the
Wastewater Branch to better respond to inquiries about the status of
building permit applications.
Building permit applications still need to be routed to the
Wastewater Branch located at 919 Ala Moana Blvd., Room 309 for review.
Please drop off your building permit application form and the three
sets of official stamped construction plans in the drop off box located
on the front counter. The Wastewater Branch usually completes
processing of building permit applications within two to three working
days and will call the applicant or authorized agent to pick up
completed plans or to request additional information/corrections be
provided.
For further information on the Wastewater Branch’s new
procedures, please feel free to contact us at 586-4294 and ask to speak
to our on-site wastewater engineer.
