Coordinates academic support services and makes referrals as needed.
Kapiolani Community College Special Student Services UH/Community College System 4303 Diamond Head Road Honolulu, HI 96816 Phone: 734-9552 (V/TTY); 734-9546 (Fax)	Offers several programs and counselors to assist students with disabilities. Pili Aloha is a program to assist students with psychiatric disabilities; the Trio Project serves students with physical and learning disabilities; and a counselor fluent in American Sign Language works with Deaf and hard of hearing students. When calling the office, ask for the campus disability counselor.
Leeward Community College (LCC) Student Activities UH/Community College System 96-045 Ala Ike Street Pearl City, HI 96782 Phone: 455-0288 (V/TTY); 455-0471 (Fax ATTN: Student Activities)	Provides registration assistance, academic advising, scheduling, personal and vocational counseling to students with disabilities at LCC. Also conducts several specialized projects such as COPE (College Orientation Program for Education), a 6-week summer course.

Competency Tutoring Center 2617 South King Street, Room 3D Honolulu, HI 96826 Phone: 947-4430 (V); 946-1712 (Fax)	Provides individualized tutorial instruction in most academic subjects, either on an individual basis or within a small group setting. Students ages 5 years through adult may apply.
Hawaii Tutoring Services P.O. Box 25241 Honolulu, HI 96825 Phone: 395-6249 (V); 396-6462 (Fax)	Provides individualized tutoring islandwide, 7 days a week, in the home or elsewhere. Experienced in serving persons with dyslexia.

Will also assist in coordinating services with other agencies to ensure equal access to all KCC facilities and programs. Must have documentation of disability in order to receive special accommodations.

 

COUNTY OF MAUI
