The Planning and ADA Cooordination Unit is responsible for:
- Gathering data on the statistics of persons with disabiltities for planning and fundiing purposes; providing technical assistance to agencies in their solicitation of funds through review and endorsements of grants.
- Monitor federal, state, and county legislation and plans relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws for appropriate action by DCAB.
- Coordinate the efforts of the State to comply with the requirements of the ADA, including implementation priorities, development of manuals, resources, and the State ADA web site.
The Planning and ADA Coordination Unit is staffed by Debbra Jackson, Planner.
The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) grant in conjunction with the Office of Elections, is administered in this unit.
