Landuse Planning and Review
Program
This program coordinates departmental evaluations for proposed developments and projects in Hawaii.

environmental impact statements and assessments.
Environmental Health Management Report
In line with the Department of Health Strategic Plan, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Office of
Environmental Quality Control requirements, the Environmental Planning Office compiles the 'Environmental Health Management Report' each year.
Environmental Geographic Information System
The EGIS is a computerized database system used for environmental
planning, data analysis, and the creation of maps and reports. This
program provides services to the Environmental Health Administration
(EHA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EGIS is instrumental in the creation of GIS data layers from
environmental monitoring results.
Environmental Justice
The Environmental Planning Office supports efforts toward Environmental Justice (EJ), in line with the DOH Strategic Plan
first Foundation of Health Equity and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Plan.
