The State of Hawaii, Department of Health (DOH), Hazardous Waste Section ensures the proper and correct methods in managing hazardous wastes, promotes pollution prevention,
waste minimization, and resource conservation. Reducing hazardous waste generated in Hawaii is an important concern to the public, businesses, and the state.
To promote effective environmental protection while helping the healthcare industry reduce costs, the Hawaii State Department of Healths Hazardous Waste Section,
the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Kaiser Permanente, SBM Site Services, and Practice Green Health welcomes healthcare professionals to the Hawaii Healthcare Pollution
