Agribusiness Development Corporation Kekaha Diesel Generator


The Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) has completed their response to public comment and made the Final Kekaha Emergency Generator Installation Site Remedial Decision and Responsiveness Summarypdf link. There are a number of attachments to the document, which are listed below as separate items for ease of downloading.

The Hawaii Department of Health Hazard Evaluation and Emergency Response Office (HDOH HEER Office) held a public meeting on October 19, 2011 to answer community questions about the proposed soil remedy to allow the Agribusiness Development Corporation (ADC) emergency generator to safely operate on the former herbicide mixing area located mauka of the Kekaha Sugar Mill site, across Kekaha Road. Comments and suggestions (both verbal and written) received during the public comment period, September 21 to October 21, 2011, will be compiled and addressed by HDOH. Responses will be sent directly to the individual who provided the comment and questions and will be included in the Final Remedial Action Work Plan and EHMP.

The HEER Office made the following two draft documents available for public comment from September 21 to October 21, 2011; the comment period is now closed.
