The Hawaii State Science and Engineeering Fair is a program of the Hawaii Academy of Science
in partnership with the Hawaii State Department of Education, the College of Education and the University of Hawaii-Manoa.
The Academy is a non-profit organization of scientists and other professionals and sponsors an annual state science fair.
All students in grades 6-12 in Hawaii are eligible to participate. The best projects from each of the school fairs may advance to
district level fairs. The best projects from each school or district are selected to enter the Hawaii State Science and
Engineering Fair at the Blaisdell Center each year.

The Safe Drinking Water Act requires states to provide EPA with an annual report of violations
of the primary drinking water standards. This report provides the numbers of public water system violations in each of five categories:
MCLs, treatment techniques, variances and exemptions, significant monitoring violations, and significant consumer notification
violations and will be made part of the national compliance report.
Annual Public Water System Compliance Report, Calendar Year 2005
This report to the Governor is required by the capacity development provisions in the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)
which mandates a report to the Governor every three years. The report addresses the efficacy of the strategy and the progress
made towards improving the technical, managerial and financial capacity of public water systems in the State.
