What:   DOH-CWB NPDES Construction Stormwater Permit Application Process and Compliance Training
Where: Maui Community College, Pilani Room
When:   March 24, 2011, 9:00 am-11:00 am
Abstract:
As of April 1, 2011, the DOH-CWB will be implementing a new Notice of Intent (permit application process) for required National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) construction storm water permits. In preparation for the change, the DOH-CWB is providing training on the new Hawaii Site Specific Construction Best Management Practice Plan Template (Template) which will serve as the new Notice of Intent form. The Template replaces the NOI Form C. Developers, consultants, construction managers and contractors are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP to Matthew Kurano at matthew.kurano@doh.hawaii.gov , as soon as possible if you haven’t been contacted by a local representative.

The training session will address NPDES program basics, compliance, submitting information to the DOH-CWB, inspections, and enforcement. The training will highlight the NPDES industrial stormwater program and expectations associated with an NPDES stormwater permit. Any NPDES stakeholder is welcome to attend.
