Dead Bird Collection Sites
The state has 31 dead bird collection sites throughout the state. When you turn in your bird at the collection site, please give them the Submission Form.

If your printer or computer will not print our the form, give the drop off site the following information
- Bird Species (if known)
- Date found
- Status of bird: found dead or sick
- Address where bird found
- Town/City
- Zip code
- Name of submitting citizen
- Phone Number
Remember: We do not test doves, pigeons, mynah birds, or chickens because they very rarely die from West Nile Virus. We still want to know when these birds die, so please report any dead bird you find to the 2-1-1 hot line.

If it is not possible to drop off the bird the same day it is collected, the bird should be frozen or kept cool in a bucket with ice and turned in the following day.
