CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH NEEDS COMMUNITY SECTION

Children with Special Health Needs Community Section promotes family-centered, community based comprehensive, coordinated care for children and youth with special health care needs from 0-20 years.

  • Children with Special Health Needs Program provides care coordination, social work, nutrition, and other services for children with special health care needs age 0-21 years with chronic medical conditions.
  • Newborn Metabolic Screening Program assures statewide newborn screening for 31 disorders which may have serious health or developmental problems if not identified and treated early.
  • Preschool Developmental Screening Program promotes the screening and follow-up for developmental/behavioral concerns in children age 3-5 years.
