• Administering of examinations and issuing of licenses for registered sanitarians, tattoo artists, and embalmers.
  
  
• Inspecting and issuing permits for all food establishments including grocery stores, restaurants, soft drink dispensers, liquor dispensers, food vending operations, food manufacturers, food warehouses, markets, fish, meat and vegetable peddlers, lunch wagons, lunch stands, and food peddlers.
  
  
• Inspecting and issuing permits for tattoo shops, mortuaries, public swimming pools.
  
  
• Inspecting barbershops, beauty parlors, massage parlors, public laundries.
