Ka Leo O Na
Keiki, The 2002 Hawaii Student Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Use
Study (1987-2002), Hawaii Adolescent Prevention and Treatment Needs
Assessment - Executive Summary (pdf - 4757 kb)
The full report can be found at Hawaii State public
libraries and the University of Hawaii libraries.
The County reports include both public and private
school students. District reports include only public school
students.
The risk and protective data reported in the
district and county reports posted on this web page are broken out by
grade. Risk and protective data reported in Chapter 11 of the full
report, The 2002 Hawaii Student Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Use
Study (1987-2002): Hawaii Adolescent Prevention and Treatment Needs
Assessment, are weighted by grade rather than broken out by
grade.
Statewide Report
The statewide report briefly summarizes the 2000 and
2002 survey results for the students participating throughout the State
of Hawaii. The primary purpose of this abbreviated report is to provide
statewide comparison data for district, county, ethnic, gender, and
individual school reports (anyone interested in accessing school-level
data must obtain permission from that school principal). Detailed
statewide results can be found by referring to the main report, The
2002 Hawaii Student Alcohol Tobacco, and Other Drug Use Study
(1987-2002): Hawaii Adolescent Prevention and Treatment Needs
Assessment, which is located throughout the Hawaii State Library
System. Please also refer to the executive summary on the current web
page for statewide results.
