State Workforce Development Planning 2009-2014

April -May 2009 The WDC Executive Committee approved committee assignments and guidelines. All committees met to review their respective assignments and discussed their next steps.
The WDC approved the creation of five committees for purposes of advancing the four priority goals or areas.
The WDC reviewed and approved contents of the Report to the Governor (Plan Part I-IV). A facilitated meeting settled priority recommendations for action.
The initial results of the planning process was shared with the full Council. The following targets were also announced:
a) Powerpoint presentation in an online audio-visual format b) January 2009 WDC special meeting. This will be half-day to full-day "retreat-type" planning meeting. November 10, 2008 The Planning Committee approved the presentation material for November 13 2008 WDC Meeting. List of recommendations were presented and reviewed briefly.
October 29, 2008 Planning Committee's Meeting was cancelled
October 22, 2008 Planning Committee members will submit priority recommendations
Planning Committee examined more planning context information, past WDC goals and priorities, and past WDC recommendations
Planning Committee examined planning context information and approved planning approach
Planning Committee re-convened, examined WDC mandate, and set priorities
WDC reauthorized Planning Committee
