The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations' Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health (HIOSH) Advisory Committee was formed to assist the State designee and the HIOSH program in carrying out its mission of preventing injuries and illnesses in Hawaii's workplaces.

The HIOSH program has made a commitment to obtain greater input and involvement from its stakeholders in its processes, programs and policies.
