2007 Manager of the Year

As manager of the Hearings Branch, Mr. K has quickly established his reputation in the community as being straight shooting and fair. His success in expediting the adjudication of claims, improving the conduct of hearings and quality of decisions, and building a strong Hearings Branch Team have resulted in faster workers' compensation (WC) benefit payments to injured workers, reduction in overall WC costs, and lower WC insurance premiums for employers. In addition, Mr. K has built teamwork within his branch by encouraging his staff to actively participate in the development of operational improvements. Mr. K has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and a commitment to improving the WC program.
