As soon as you become unemployed, call Hawaii Tele-Claim. You will answer questions using your touch-tone telephone. You must speak to a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to complete the initial claim filing process. Remain on the line to speak to a CSR. If you call outside of CSR office hours, you will need to call again to speak to a CSR. CSR hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45 am - 4:00 pm. Closed on weekends and State holidays. Wait times are typically shorter on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
