Pono Art & Video Competition
Aloha,
The Hawaii Civil Rights & PBS Hawaii Art & Video Competition received over 40 posters from 4th and 5th graders and several videos from 6th - 12th graders from the islands of Hawai'i, O'ahu, Maui, Molokai and Lanai. We hope to announce the winners sometime in February.
Currently PBS Hawaii is airing short PSAs showcasing the various posters and videos that were submitted for the competition. To catch a glimpse of entries tune into PBS Hawaii. You can also long on to PBS Hawaii at www.pbshawaii.org to view the poster and clips of the video entries.
With sponsorship from Kamehameha Schools and OHA - The Office of Hawaiian Affairs, PBS Hawaii is in the process of creating an in-depth half hour program around the Pono competition which will air, March 27th Thursday night at 8:30pm.
We hope your participation in this project was as meaningful for you as your poster or video's message is to us. We look forward to sharing your vision of E Ola Pono with the people of Hawai'i.
