School-based H1N1 vaccination clinics coming in November

In addition to the scheduled school clinics, 2009 H1N1 vaccinations have already begun for priority populations, including health care workers, first responders involved in direct patient care, pregnant women and those at higher risk for developing serious complications from the flu.

As DOH receives ample vaccine supplies, everyone who wants the vaccine will be able to receive it.

Vaccination is the best protection to offer children to prevent complications from flu. Keiki and their families should get both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines in order to have maximum protection against the known flu strains circulating this year.
