Lt. Governor to Attend Canonization in Rome

Lt. Governor Aiona announced at a news conference that he and his wife, Vivian, will travel to Rome for the canonization of Blessed Damien de Veuster, the Catholic priest who will be declared a saint.

In a time when it is most apparent that government often lacks the means to do everything, public-private partnerships represent a mechanism with vast potential to accomplish goals that many assume can only be solved by government.  Members of the community are often the most effective generator of lasting solutions for community issues.  Two recent examples underscore the effectiveness public-private partnerships.
