Filipino Businesspeople Install New Leaders
Lt. Governor Aiona helped install the new officers and directors for the Filipino Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, recognizing the business group's long history in the state, which roots go back more than a century.
Speaking to more than 500 businesspeople at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, the Lt. Governor acknowledged the support that the group has offered Filipino businessmen and women since 1954.
“The Filipino Chamber provides valuable services and networking opportunities for its members, while promoting goodwill and strengthening economic ties between our state and the Philippines,” Lt. Governor Aiona said. “Our Administration also shares your goal of sustaining economic prosperity for Filipino businesspeople in Hawai‘i.”
The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawai`i is the country’s oldest and largest Filipino Chamber of Commerce in the United States.
