Reroofing project rallies community
Lt. Governor Aiona to draw attention Friday to a community-led reroofing project at Waiawa Correctional Facility, where a volunteer effort by a group of contractors have saved the state more than $200,000.
The project called for reroofing four buildings at the 334-bed facility. It took contractors 15 days to complete the project. A dedication ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at the facility.
