Today, Lt. Governor Aiona meets with a NASA astronaut whose visit to Hawai`i comes amid a new emphasis in the state on space exploration.
The Lt. Governor will be joined by Governor Lingle at the meeting with Astronaut Barbara Morgan, who plans to talk with Hawai`i students during her visit and provide a first-hand account of her mission to the International Space Station.
The meeting at the Hawai`i State Capitol comes at a time when the state and NASA have formed a partnership that will lead to collaboration on opportunities in space exploration.
